Bookletters can create a custom library newsletter and people can click to opt out. Just another aspect that has been more successful for us.jdscott50https://www.blogger.com/profile/04229906352079565341noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-31106814.post-72255519620984258942008-11-12T05:27:00.000-08:002008-11-12T05:27:00.000-08:00Awesome info, I'm just starting out with BookLette...Awesome info, I'm just starting out with BookLetters so I hope to get something this great up and running! I could use a social networking site, but perform almost zero maintenace on it. Hence the title. I did it because it was easy.jdscott50https://www.blogger.com/profile/04229906352079565341noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-31106814.post-15304199171119025982007-09-03T14:47:00.000-07:002007-09-03T14:47:00.000-07:00Great piece! As result, I am investigating its application here at the Lane Medical Library.

One question that remains, though, is *why* twitter when one is already using RSS? I can think of a few answers, but I'd love to hear from someone who's been there.Anonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-31106814.post-1491188186113976732007-07-01T08:12:00.000-07:002007-07-01T08:12:00.000-07:00Thanks for the comments. The Google calendar is an inspired touch, and I'm intrigued by all of the creative ways you share content that doesn't require staff time.

I think you should accept Jessica's offer and teach other libraries how to do all of this--I'm certain she doesn't represent the one interested library. :)

Keep up the good work, and thanks for sharing all of the cool stuff you're doing at City of Casa Grande Public Library!Anonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-31106814.post-77811489110054984292007-05-08T16:26:00.000-07:002007-05-08T16:26:00.000-07:00I've bookmarked the NewComm Media interview.
